The Heartbreak Grape - Pinot Noir

As Valentine's Day approaches, we have a new vintage to share. Say hello to the "Heartbreak Grape" – our 2021 Pinot Noir embodies the bittersweet symphony of love.

The nickname "heartbreak grape" comes from the heartache winemakers experience when producing high-quality Pinot Noir wines. Much like our relationships, this grape demands a delicate touch, specific conditions, and unwavering commitment.

When successful, Pinot Noir can result in wines that are highly prized for their complexity, elegance, and nuanced flavors.

Harvested Oct. 7, 2021 and left for a 3 day cold soak before beginning fermentation. Aged in French oak barrels and puncheons (mostly older, neutral barrels) for 12 months before choosing the best barrels for this blend.

2021 Pinot Noir: Aromas of raspberry, black cherry, beetroot, and leather. On the palate, beautiful red fruit – black cherry and raspberry are complemented by notes of sarsaparilla, chocolate and earthy notes. There’s a nice mineral salinity in the background.

ABV: 12% | RS: 4.2 g/L

In both winemaking and love, the journey can be arduous, but the rewards are always worth it.
