In 2014, Lakeview released two new Niagara wines under the 1914 label, with a donation made from the sale of each bottle to support events honouring Canadian heritage.
Shawn McCormick from Uncork Ontario, a website devoted to spreading the word about wines from Niagara and other regions of Ontario, recently had a chance to sample both the 1914 Honour (white) and 1914 Valour (red) wines.
The 1914 wines were created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Great War (1914-1918), as well as the 150th anniversary of Confederation.
From Murray Souter, President & CEO of Lakeview :
“These wines recognize and celebrate the achievements of the generations who served and continue to serve in Canada’s military."
